It’s a new year! Maybe you have made a new year’s resolution to change jobs? According to US Bureau of Labor Statistics “healthcare occupations and industries are projected to add the most new jobs between 2012 – 2022”. Healthcare appears to be a growth industry. In 2012 NPR reported that 1 in 8 American workers were employed in the healthcare industry. Maybe you are interested in a career in the health field? Eastern Virginia Medical School offers a variety of educational opportunities for those interested in pursuing a career in the healthcare field including a new Master in Surgical Assisting Degree – the first of it’s kind in the United States. “Last spring, EVMS became the first school in the country to off a Master in Surgical Assisting Degree.” With the development of a bridge program EVMS Alumni who received their EVMS Surgical Assisting certificate can earn a Master’s degree in Surgical Assisting from EVMS”.
